It’s that time again. An interesting week 9 is almost in the books. Let’s get to week 10′s waiver wire pickups. Here they are, early as usual, in order from top to bottom by position.

Updated 11/8

QB -

Carson Palmer, OAK: Not too shabby of a comeback for Palmer. He threw for 332 yards and three TDs with three interceptions. If the Oakland defense keeps playing the way they did against Denver, look for those numbers to continue.

Andy Dalton, CIN: Dalton threw three TD passes against a solid Titans defense. The match-up this week against the Ravens isn’t the greatest, but he has the Rams and the Cardinals in weeks 15 and 16 if you’re a playoff contender.

Christian Ponder, MIN: Ponder has been solid in his first two starts. He has a good match-up this week playing against the Packers where he will have to throw in order to keep up with Aaron Rodgers.

Matt Moore, MIA: I’m not sure how this happened, but the Phins spanked the Chiefs on their home turf. Just when it looked like the Chiefs were stepping up their game, Moore had a great game from a fantasy perspective throwing for 244 yards and three TDs with no interceptions.

RB -

Roy Helu, WAS: With Torain not producing, Shanny rolled with Helu this week. He just may be “the guy” now…maybe. Helu rushed 10 times for 41 yards and caught a record setting 14 passes out of the backfield for another 105 yards. Definitely grab Helu in PPR leagues.

Maurice Morris, DET: There is still no timetable set on Jahvid Best’s return. Morris could be the most productive back for at least a couple more weeks.

Donald Brown, IND: Delone Carter started the game but Brown was the more productive back. He went for 70 yards on 16 carries. Keep an eye out on Addai’s status as it will affect Brown’s productivity.

Chris Ogbonnaya, CLE: I hate the Browns rushing game, but if you really are desperate, Ogbonnaya might get another week or two in before Hardesty returns.

Chris Ivory, NO: Ivory looked good filling in for an injured Mark Ingram. He went for 67 yards on 15 carries. Keep an eye on Ingram’s status before picking him up.

Kregg Lumpkin, TB: Lumpkin only had two carries for 7 yards, but he picked up 31 in the air on four receptions. He was the team’s third down back and was in on passing downs. Grab Lumpkin in PPR leagues if you’re desperate or have room to wait and see.

WR –

Laurent Robinson, DAL: With Miles Austin re-injuring his hamstring, Robinson caught a team high five receptions for 32 yards and a TD. Keep an eye on Austin, but Robinson has been productive regardless of Austin’s status this season.

Steve Breaston, KC: Who’s going to be the top receiver in KC? It seems as though each week it’s a different guy. This was Breaston’s turn going for 115 yards on seven receptions.

Jacoby Ford, OAK: Ford was Carson Palmer’s favorite target this week catching five passes for 105 yards and a TD. He was dropped in a lot of leagues due to injury, but he’s starting to come on strong again.

Earl Bennett, CHI: Bennett returned to the Bears lineup with a bang going for a team high 95 yards on five receptions and a TD. He could very well become Jay Cutler’s favorite target going forward.

Jerome Simpson, CIN: I recommended Simpson last week and he scored another TD this week. He continues to be that guy who will get you ten points every week.

Damian Williams, TEN: Williams didn’t have a huge day but he got in the end zone. He continues to produce fantasy points.

TE -

Jake Ballard, NYG: I keep recommending Ballard because he keeps producing and still remains out there in a bunch of leagues. He caught four passes for 67 yards and a TD. Grab Ballard so I don’t have to keep bringing him up every week!
