David Helton

Fantasy Sundays David Helton Our AuthorsDavid brings a wealth of sports knowledge to Fantasy Sundays. He is the son of sportswriter Derwin Helton, has a Masters degree in Sports Management and has been playing fantasy football for 15 years. In that time he has accumulated individual league titles in the Fantasy Football Tournament of Champions, World Championship of Fantasy Football Satellites and finished second in his league in his only WCOFF Main Event. While he enjoys playing in the big money events, his passion to win the Ole Glory Fantasy League which he has been Commissioner of for 14 seasons is still greater. David’s league consists of Air Force buddies stationed and retired all over the world. David has served his country for over 19 years and is now stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas. He loves swimming with his daughter Riley, running and playing fantasy football with his wife, Becky, who is also in the Ole Glory League. A native of Morristown, Tennessee, David loves his Volunteers but will quickly tell you he remained loyal to the Dallas Cowboys after the Oilers invaded Rocky Top!

Mike Jenkins

Fantasy Sundays Mike Jenkins Our AuthorsA lifelong Steelers fan, Mike Jenkins began playing fantasy football in 1990 as co-founder of Weekend Warrior Fantasy Football. The league, which boasts 24 teams in 2-12 team divisions, has seen the evolution of the game from the pre-internet waiting for the paper to come out to do the stats on Monday to live up to the minute scoring. The addiction has also evolved from being an owner of one franchise to owning and co-owning approximately 12-15 teams a year in many different local and high stakes competitions. It is the competition that drives his enjoyment in what has become the perfect format for any fantasy sport. “I would be lying if I said winning did not matter and honestly my wife would have put the kibosh on it long ago”, says Jenkins. His resume includes a 2nd place finish in the first ever World Championship of Online Fantasy Football, a 2nd place regular season finish in the inaugural Footballguys Players Championship out of 1600 teams, numerous satellite and local league championships. From February through late July you can find Mike coaching baseball, watching his son play hockey, traveling with his family and doing anything else to pass the time until he is once again sitting on his couch on Sundays from 8 AM until 11 PM watching football.

Chad Simmons

Fantasy Sundays Chad Simmons Our AuthorsChad Simmons is a 33 year old, East Coast Canadian. Which is to say, he has no home bias for any major sport, although he is a raving, die hard Bills fan! He’s been playing fantasy for about 15 years now, dating back to the “writing it down on paper” days. He feels he can be a major contributor to anyone who needs guidance. His strengths are match ups, trade watch and draft strategy. Although, he is more than happy to help out where ever he can. He’s looking forward to the upcoming football season and hope, if nothing else, he can entertain good man chat for the wonderful, grueling 17 week football season.

Tracy McDannald

Fantasy Sundays Tracy McDannald Our AuthorsTracy McDannald has been playing fantasy football for the last 10 years, juggling anywhere between two to five leagues each year. He has finished first in six leagues and in the top three in a handful of others. Tracy does not limit himself to just football — he will play almost any fantasy sport ranging from baseball to basketball and even golf. When he is not watching sports, he’s covering sports for a living. Tracy covered various Long Beach State teams for the past three years and will now be writing about the University of Arizona men’s basketball and football programs.

Michele Downs

Fantasy Sundays Michele Downs Our AuthorsBorn in DC and raised in Ohio, our lone female author, Michele Downs is undoubtedly a HUGE Cleveland sports fan with a good deal of Redskin spirit sprinkled in. In love with football at a young age. She clearly remembers the sound of Theismann’s leg breaking over the TV when LT ended his career. She remembers the “Drive”, the “Fumble” and all the mistakes in between. She had always thought if she was a guy she would definitely have played football and, who knows, maybe in the NFL. The next best thing to actually playing, is Fantasy. She’s been playing FFB for five years. She’s happy the lockout didn’t destroy her hopes of a Browns re-emergence and can’t wait to see what the NFL has in store for us come September.

Steve Ranieri

Fantasy Sundays Steve Ranieri Our AuthorsThe glue that holds this site together, Steve Ranieri, is the founder of FantasySundays. Originally, FantasySundays was planned to be another project that slowly manifested into what you see today. He is an avid fantasy player, getting more involved every year, playing for the past five years. Last year was Steve’s first high stakes outing at the main event of the WCOFF where he finished second in his league. His strengths are numbers (using stats to rank players performance) and spotting sleeper gems ala Austin Collie and Stevie Johnson (drafted not waiver). Steve is 32 years old, from upstate NY living in Las Vegas, and his favorite NFL team is the Raiders. He has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Clemson University. He has big expectations for FantasySundays and strives to make it the best free source for Fantasy Football news, opinions, and sharing.
